Geelong Rangers Soccer Club is a soccer and sporting club based at the W.H. Myers Reserve in Bell Post Hill in the northern suburbs of the City of Greater Geelong. Our club is inclusive and multi-cultural with a strong focus on coaching and player development, and a proud family-friendly atmosphere.

A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO SUPPORT YOUR CLUB AND TEAMThought about volunteering but don't want to miss your son/daughters game?This could be the opportunity you are looking forWith a huge reduction in qualified referees this season we are all going to be impacted with many of the local junior and senior games not appointed a match officialOur referee community does an incredible job with many of them covering 3 or 4 matches in succession every week. Their numbers are limited, there will be times that an accredited referee might not be on hand for your match. With that in mind, we’re really pleased to announce the Club Match Official Assistance program. A brand new upskilling program for parents and volunteers at Clubs.We know that parents and volunteers are often on the frontline, stepping in to officiate when there is a gap but we need more individuals to feel comfortable to do so, have a better understanding of some of the rules and regulations of our game and feel empowered to help outIt’s a much more low key option than completing a full referee course; but will provide the basic tips and information to support your community.Geelong Rangers is looking for at least one volunteer from each age group to take part in the program.How Does the Club Match Official Assistance Program work?All participants must complete the theory component on GO1 before attending the practical session.You will then be invited to a practical session at your club or a club near youAt the completion of the practical session, clubs will have skilled individuals to officiate matches where a referee is not appointed or unavailablePlease complete the jotform below to register your have club referee tops available for these individuals so that you are recognised on the pitch as a club volunteer refereePlease note: This program will not recognise you as a qualified referee.
